Barrett's Place Playground
at Veterans Park
Pendleton, South Carolina

Pendleton Pride in Motion sponsored the building of this playground in memory of Barrett Beck, a twelve year old Pendleton resident who tragically lost his life too young, and other young people in our community whose lives we want to remember. Through volunteer efforts and donations, the Pendleton area community built a playground without tax dollars.
This large playground includes a climbing wall, campsite, speed boat and lots of swings, slides and monkey bars. This children's activity place stimulates the imagination, while providing a safe and attractive area for our children to play.
Barrett's Place . . . a community-built playground.
